 LET'S GO!
MARIE-CHANTAL
OF GREECE
Travel has always been a part of Marie-Chantal’s life. As one of three daughters to DFS co-founder Robert Miller, who pioneered the idea of shopping duty free at the airport and downtown, the now Crown Princess of Greece and Princess of Denmark has traveled more miles than many will do in a lifetime.

Whether flying overseas to design her popular children’s brand or spending time at sea with her family on vacation, the frequent traveler shows us how to globe-trot in style like a modern day royal.
TRAVEL
TO ME
...is a way to connect with my family and
friends around the world and a way to
reconnect with the different cultures that I grew up with.
Travel inspires me. I tend to live my life in airports now and I always love the feeling, whether for a business trip or a vacation, of going to a new place and exploring a different culture.
MY TRAVEL UNIFORM
It has to be comfortable, but also look smart at the same time. My husband always looks immaculate when he travels and that inspires me to look chic yet casual. I like to wear a pair of jeans and I always carry great quality luggage.
HOW I LIKE
TO TRAVEL
HOW I LIKE
TO TRAVEL
I enjoy the calm that comes with
flying high above the clouds.
However, after I rode on
the Orient Express from Paris to Venice,
I fell in love with the old style of travel.
The experience was luxury at its finest.

MY LAST
VACATION
I love traveling with my kids and seeing the world through their eyes. Our last trip together was to Los Angeles, where we surfed off the coast of Malibu, hiked along the canyons and rode our bikes through Santa Monica.
A FAMILY
AFFAIR
WHAT I
BROUGHT BACK
As a child, I explored many countries with my parents and my sisters. Today, I get to share this experience with my own children.
CLOSE
TO HOME
I spent most of my childhood growing up in Hong Kong where my father co-founded DFS in 1960. Every time I go back, the city always exceeds my expectations because it is constantly changing. There is an energy there that does not exist anywhere else. I also love to shop when I’m in town and always make a visit to T Galleria by DFS to see what new travel essentials are in-store.
A WORLD OF
INSPIRATION
I am so lucky to have been able to travel the world. From a city park in London to
an outdoor food market in Paris to
the architecture in Hong Kong,
I pull my inspiration from
so many different places and things.

IN-FLIGHT ESSENTIALS
I always download TV shows onto my laptop. I’ll watch a few episodes and try to fall asleep. If that doesn’t help, I pull out my Kindle e-book reader.
BEAUTY
ON BOARD
Drinking a lot of water to keep yourself hydrated is key to any beauty regimen. When it comes to products, my favorite travel cream is a jar of Crème de la Mer. I also always pack a great eyemask wherever I go. And I never forget to stop by DFS to see what’s new in the beauty department.
MY
CURRENT
PLAYLIST
#1 TRAVEL
TIP
I attended an amazing 50th wedding anniversary not too long ago where Nile Rodgers from Chic performed "Taking Me Down Memory Lane" and "I’ll Be There." Those two songs have been at the top of my playlist ever since!
IT'S A SMALL
WORLD
As a mother of five, my children inspire me. Before I start designing a new collection, I always ask myself, “What do their wardrobes need?" And, most importantly, "What do they want to wear?”
MY FAVORITE DESTINATION
It has to be Greece because it has the most beautiful sea in all of Europe. The people are friendly, the food is delicious and, culturally, Athens and the islands are just breathtaking. There is just so much to see and do there.
DUTY FREE
MUST-HAVES
DUTY FREE
MUST-HAVES
My duty free must-haves include Crème de la Mer and cosmetics. I love buying my lipsticks from DFS. Plus, with shops in over 11 countries, I always find myself in a DFS store picking up something for myself or a gift to bring back home.
#1
TRAVEL TIP
I try not to eat during my flights. Recently, I discovered Fortnum & Mason in Terminal 5 at London Heathrow Airport. So, I eat there now before I take off.
NEXT STOP...
Central and South America, including some of the temples on the Yucatán Peninsula in Mexico and Machu Picchu in Peru. It’s a culture and a part of my history that I have yet to discover.
