It’s time to peel back the heavy layers of winter. Together with fashion it-girl Vincci Yang, we’ve mapped out your perfect spring day in Hong Kong. Slip a new pair of flats on your feet and the perfect tote bag over your shoulder, and let’s go!

Your day begins before you step out into the city. Start with a tote bag neatly packed with your daytime essentials: “keys, makeup bag, card case, sunglasses, and at least two or three lipsticks” according to Vincci. This season, opt for a tote that is equal parts sturdy and stylish with ample space and accents that mirror the freshness of spring. Smart color combinations add a spark to a newly-aired wardrobe. Vincci’s Tory Burch tote with a perforated trim hits every mark.

First, stop and smell the roses. Chinese floral arrangements are a delightful art so slip into a local floral shop for well-balanced blossoms arranged to perfection. Carry the blooms with you as a colorful and fragrant token throughout the day.

Next up is a self-guided art tour as Hong Kong is ripe with emerging artistic talent. Make time to escape down a road less traveled, like Vincci’s secret Hong Kong place of peacefulness: “My special escape in Hong Kong is Tai Ping Shan Street in Sheung Wan: a peaceful path that has a few stylish stores and cafes. The space is quite near SoHo and Central, but unbelievably quiet in the daytime. Sometimes, it doesn’t feel like I’m in Hong Kong at all, but transported somewhere else.”

Soon it will time to replenish. Enjoy bite-sized buns in steamer baskets and follow up with chrysanthemum or pu-er tea. Fall in love with a particular leaf blend and pack up a box to take home.

As the sun sets behind the skyscrapers, slip on a new shade of lipstick. “I always have two lipsticks in two different colors, so I’m ready for any situation,” says Vincci. “Recently, it’s a velvet smoky nude and a dark red, but sometimes I’ll toss a nice orange into my bag if the weather is sunny. I use different lipstick colors to show my mood and I put more than one color at a time to mix things up.”

Your versatile tote is elevated in the company of an evening skyline so dressing up an outfit on the go is a breeze. The fresh and warm wind begs to be enjoyed atop any of the city’s modern rooftop bars. Cap the night with a cocktail, some good conversation and unforgettable views.
