Lagavulin

Lagavulin, founded 1816 by John Johnston, is the biggest, richest and most intensely flavored of our Islay single malt Scotch whiskies. It is a name derived from the Gaelic Laggan Mhouillin, hollow where the mill is. Situated beside the sea in a rocky bay overlooked by ruined Dunyvaig Castle, Lagavulin distillery has arguably the most romantic setting of any in Scotland.
