We can’t wait

Chatter about upcoming weekend plans and holidays are typical conversations in the office at DFS, and when April’s four-day weekend is near in sight, the question “What are you doing for Easter?” is usually added to that list. Here we join the conversation, asking the team to share how they’re spending, and what they’re packing, for the annual springtime break.

“I’m planning a holiday to Bali. I’ll be packing a spring-inspired flowery dress, some easy slip-on pool slides, a woven basket, and an on-trend bucket hat. I’m going for a strictly all-pastel color palette to not only lean into the spirit of spring, but also make mixing and matching clothes much easier.”

“Rain or shine, my family and I will be having an Easter egg hunt and egg relay race in the park with our kids. I’ll be packing an oversized tote bag filled with eggs for the little ones, as well as a picnic basket with cheese, biscuits, and all the trimmings, including a nice bottle of wine, for the adults.”

“We usually visit my mother on Easter with my children. There’s usually a lot of baking involved, including making spicy, fruity hot cross buns for the adults and chocolate chip ones for the kids. There’ll also be some carrots left out for the Easter Bunny at bedtime. To thank my mother for putting up with the mayhem of my little ones, I’ll bring her a sparkling piece of jewelry. She’ll protest for a minute, but I know she’ll adore it!”
