DFS Group and Unionpay International Launch Wide-Ranging Global Promotional Campaign
JULY 30, 2014, Hong Kong – DFS Group (DFS), the world’s leading luxury travel retailer, and UnionPay International (UPI) today announced the introduction of an exciting set of global promotions designed to bring a wealth of new shopping benefits to travellers.
Launched in the second half of 2014, the promotions will include several instant reward programmes and a host of exclusive experiences for UnionPay premium cardholders. Together, these initiatives will not only enhance customer purchasing value and shopping experiences, but will also help strengthen the strategic global partnership between the two organisations.

UnionPay cardholders with card numbers starting with “62” will be the first to have access to promotions at select DFS airport and Galleria stores:
From 15 July to 31 December 2014, cardholders will be able to enjoy an instant deduction programme for purchases at select DFS airport stores worldwide in Hong Kong, Indonesia (Bali and Jakarta), Japan (Okinawa), Singapore, the United States (Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Hawaii and Saipan), New Zealand (Auckland) and United Arab Emirates (Abu Dhabi).
From 15 July to 15 October, these same cardholders will also have the opportunity to earn gift certificates for purchases at select downtown DFS stores:
- T Galleria Hong Kong, Causeway Bay
- T Galleria Singapore
- T Galleria Okinawa
- T Galleria Hawaii
- DFS Galleria Sydney
For eligible UnionPay 62 Diamond cardholders who visit select downtown DFS stores, DFS will also provide two additional exclusive premium services during the promotional period from 15 July to 15 October. Both services are available by appointment only, on a first come first serve basis:
1) Beauty Concierge: This unique, luxurious and award-winning service by DFS was designed with the needs of travellers in mind, featuring a private modern beauty lounge within a relaxing environment. With the help of professionally trained beauty experts, customers can identify their needs and experience a selection of multiple brands and products. Special one-on-one complimentary beauty services are also offered, from skin analysis and treatments using the latest technologies to specialty massages, allowing customers to feel special, look beautiful and discover more about the world of beauty. Beauty Concierge is available to eligible cardholders at T Galleria Hawaii and T Galleria Singapore.
2) Personal Shopping: Access to DFS’ dedicated team of multi-lingual personal shoppers, who are experts across categories, from fashion and accessories, beauty and fragrances, to watches and jewellery. Each personal shopper provides a seamless shopping experience, by anticipating and addressing individual customer needs, and by recommending a curated selection of brands and products based on the lifestyle needs and preferences of each customer.
