Veuve Clicquot

Veuve Clicquot celebrates the legacy of an extraordinary woman: Barbe Nicole Ponsardin. Married in 1798 to François Clicquot, she took over the House upon the death of her husband in 1805. Her audacity and vision led her to become one of the first businesswomen in history and made her champagne known to the world. The first House to launch a Rosé cuvee in 1775, Veuve Clicquot has been a relentless innovator for over 230 years. Madame Clicquot herself set a series of “firsts”, such as the creation of the first vintage cuvee in 1810. This heritage is now handed down from one Cellar Master to another, of which there have been only 10 since the beginnings of the house.
