Mars Whiskey

Mars Whisky was founded in 1985 by Hombo Shuzo Ltd. It is a distillery with more than a century of experience in brewing. Situated between the North and South faces of the Japan Alps, it is also the highest altitude distillery in Japan at 798 meters. The distillery is surrounded by granite soil and crystal clear water sources, all of which make Mars a whisky of the finest quality and highest standards.Kiichiro Iwai and Masataka Taketsuru, his assistant after joining Hombo Shuzo, used a combination of Taketsuru’s research and their own whiskey to design and create the Mars Whisky Distillery as a tank-type distiller. Kiichiro Iwai is committed to the production of a higher-quality whiskey.
