The Graduate Development Program is designed to provide young, talented individuals an opportunity to fast-track their careers with DFS through a 12 to 18-month rotational program as Management Trainees. Learning occurs in both office and store environments, where Trainees are assigned departmental responsibilities and interact with managers and mentors.
Candidates can choose to specialize in either Retail, Merchandising, Digital, Finance or Technology. By the end of the program, Management Trainees develop key skills essential to their chosen career paths.
The Retail stream allows Management Trainees to experience first-hand the various fields of Store Operations, Merchandising and Marketing followed by a preparatory training placement over 18 months. Management Trainees learn about the following sectors of the retail business:
In these rotations, Management Trainees explore different roles within the Store Operations, Marketing and Merchandising sectors both on-site at a T Galleria or airport store and in-office. By the end of the program, Management Trainees will be considered for a career path in one of these fields.
Over the course of 18 months, the Finance stream allows Management Trainees to experience first-hand the various Finance functions of DFS' business before pursuing a permanent role as an accountant within our Finance team in Singapore. By the end of the program, Management Trainees will have refined their technical skills in the following functions:
Over the course of 18 months, the Technology stream enables Management Trainees to experience first-hand DFS' various Technology functions before pursuing a permanent role as a Business Analyst in our Technology team based in Singapore. Throughout their rotations, Management Trainees play a crucial role in supporting the infrastructure of our global systems, synchronizing data across different locations to achieve the most cost-effective business practices. Management Trainees learn to leverage resources and work towards enhancing our systems' user experience both internally and externally.
