In 1906, under the name "The New Balance Arch Company", the brand began to manufacture orthopedic insoles and, some time later, sports shoes. In 1961, the first shoe dedicated to running was born: the Trackster. In 1972, on the day of the Boston Marathon, Jim Davis bought the brand, of which he remains the sole owner today. Since then, New Balance has never ceased to assert its independence and its values of performance and quality. In order to preserve the know-how that constitutes its DNA, New Balance continues to produce in its five factories in the United States and England.
