From September 20 to November 4, 2024, the Maison invites you to take a stroll amid the sculptural installations of artist Arthur Hoffner. The designer, who has been collaborating with Van Cleef & Arpels since 2018, has created a playful setting where totems of geometric shapes meet display cases animated by spheres in motion. These generous volumes draw their inspiration from the graphic lines of the Perlée collection, first launched by the Maison in 2008. The collection features the signature gold bead, an iconic Van Cleef & Arpels motif, sometimes set in gold, and sometimes with precious or ornamental stones. Creating infinite combinations, the pieces in the collection beautifully reflect the Maison's creative flair, rich heritage, and outstanding expertise in jewelry design.
"A rather fluid and natural bond has developed between my work and the Perlée collection which share a joyfully, playful spirit. In my approach, the sphere acts as a character playing against a backdrop, ” explains Arthur Hoffner.
Born from a love affair between Alfred Van Cleef and Estelle Arpels, Van Cleef & Arpels was founded in 1906 at 22, place Vendôme in Paris. Today, the Maison's high jewelry retains its poetic style. This enchanting world is illustrated by an array of creations, such as the Zip necklace and the Alhambra design. Showcasing its quest for excellence, the Serti Mystérieux is one of the most celebrated Van Cleef & Arpels techniques. Patented in 1933, it has continued to evolve with fresh innovations featured from one collection to the next.
