The Rivoli side of Samaritaine may be less well-known than its historic Pont-Neuf counterpart, but within its raw concrete walls, you'll find the edgy, urban selection from the Designer Lab.
In the heart of Paris, on rue de Rivoli, Samaritaine unveils its brand-new, never-seen-before concept.
Behind a wavy curtain of glass created by the architecture agency Sanaa, the Rivoli store has established itself as a hybrid playground for fashion lovers. On the ground floor of the building, the Designer Lab reflects the trendy and ultra-modern foundations of the “new Samaritaine”. Here, you will find an eclectic selection of bold, avant-garde brands, set in a light-flooded, raw industrial space created by the architecture and design agency Ciguë. Exclusive in France, the BLACK COMME DES GARÇONS line has taken over the Rivoli space to showcase its collections against a backdrop of novel architecture specially designed for the occasion.
The perfect combination of urban concept store and an incubator for young talent, the space is home to a selection of labels, some renowned and some more below the radar. Here, you'll find a whole host of collections from international designers, such as JW Anderson, Jacquemus and the French-Moroccan label Casablanca, as well as emerging brands, including the Italian label Sunnei and the French label EGONlab. This contemporary, sought-after selection is bound to pique your curiosity.
For a more urban look, you can also find pieces influenced by streetwear from the brand A-COLD-WALL* by designer Samuel Ross or the Tokyo label Ambush. The Designer Lab is the ultimate fashion destination and exclusive home to some of today's most coveted brands. From alternative pieces by 3.PARADIS, to sportswear and functional clothing from White Mountaineering, and Ahluwalia's collection of sustainable and ethnic pieces, there's a surprise waiting for you around every corner at the new Samaritaine.
You can find the Designer Lab MEN collection on the ground floor of the Rivoli store.
