Born and raised in Brussels, Valentine was always fascinated by fashion and all things related to aesthetics and design. Brimming with creative urges and ideas, Valentine's passion for entrepreneurship inspired her to launch the Valentine Witmeur Lab in 2016 with her partner Arthur. A collection of just six sweaters gradually evolved into an entire brand, showcasing more than two collections each year at Paris Fashion Week.
Valentine Witmeur Lab is a Belgian brand offering comfortable yet effortlessly chic knitted collections for women. The fluid, relaxed cuts complete with a splash of color or detailing create a unique, recognizable style. The collections are simple but never simplistic, designed for women who want to feel on-trend yet at ease.
The yarns are carefully selected in Italy, while production is handled in close collaboration with a family atelier in northern Portugal. The transparent relationship between Valentine Witmeur and the atelier allows the brand to make sure the manufacturing processes respect the values of the label and its customers.
As part of the brand's approach to sustainability, each design is produced in limited quantities to avoid overconsumption and uphold the exclusivity of the collections. With its strong conviction and commitment to building a better future for our planet, Valentine Witmeur Lab has also been promoting the use of environmentally-friendly materials since 2021. The majority of the Spring/Summer 22 collection therefore uses certified eco-friendly viscose and organic cotton.
