San Francisco Courvoisier Courvoisier,Wine, Spirits & Beer
The history of Courvoisier goes back to the reign of Napoléon Bonaparte, when Emmanuel Courvoisier and his associate, Louis Gallois, owned a wine and spirit merchant company in Bercy, just outside of Paris. Enamored of their product, the Emperor began giving a ration of cognac to his troops to boost their morale during the Napoleonic Wars. Legend has it that the emperor Napoléon himself chose Courvoisier as his preferred cognac; therefore, Courvoisier is often referred to as “The Cognac of Napoléon.” Throughout the centuries, Courvoisier cognac has been celebrated by emperors, royalty and connoisseurs alike.
