Although the Palace of Fine Arts was restored and seismically retrofitted in recent years, it stands much the same way as it did during the 1915 Panama-Pacific Exposition. Originally built to show artwork, its magnificent exhibition hall now hosts a variety of programs and events as listed on its website. A lagoon of swans and generous surrounding foliage accent the central rotunda. Make sure to take some time to walk around this outdoor beauty. Day or night, the Palace of Fine Arts is a sight for the eyes.
