Having been built by its proprietor as a showcase for his vast collection of over 1,000 masks, sculptures, batiks and other beautifully wrought works of art，the Tugu Bali is as much a museum of Balinese and Javanese antiques as it is a resort. Two of the suites were even inspired by famous Bali-based artists of the early-20th century, capturing a spirit of romance and the exoticism of the primitive.
