Located in the most authentic part of Venice, near the Rialto Bridge, the Vecio Fritolin is at the heart of history, not only from an architectural point of view but also from its menu. A "fritolin" was a place where, for centuries, poor Venetians would buy fried seafood and fish to take home. What in old times was food for the poors, today, it is instead considered a delicacy. In the modern day, the Vecio Fritolin has maintained that tradition alive by updating it with modern flair and locally sourced ingredients. A must-try are the fried "moeche" which are small crabs with a soft shell that are fried and served in wrapped paper, just like centuries ago. An authentic Venetian experience!
