SEPTEMBER 1, 2017 DFS Group, the world’s leading luxury travel retailer, has appointed Ariel Gentzbourger as Executive Vice President Merchandising, reporting to Sibylle Scherer, President Merchandising and Marketing. Ariel was formerly Senior Vice President Beauty and Fragrances.
In her new role, Ariel will assume responsibility for the day-to-day operations of DFS’ global Merchandising organization while supporting Sibylle in further enriching the end-to-end customer experience through the company’s coordinated merchandising and marketing efforts.
“Since joining DFS in 2014, Ariel has been instrumental in leading a number of successful transformative strategies within Beauty to meet the changing desires of our traveling customers,” said Philippe Schaus, Chairman and CEO of DFS Group. “As Executive Vice President Merchandising, her leadership, broad merchandising insights and brand experience will support our continuous efforts to expand and elevate our global network of airport stores and downtown T Galleria stores.”
With Ariel’s promotion, Christophe Marque has been appointed Senior Vice President Beauty and Fragrances, reporting to Ariel, along with Christophe Chaix, Senior Vice President Fashion, Watches, Jewelry and Accessories, Brooke Supernaw, Senior Vice President Spirits, Wine, Tobacco, Food and Gifts, and Linda Canada, Senior Vice President Merchandising, Planning, and Replenishment and Allocation.
