JUNE 14, 2013 - DFS Group (DFS), the world’s leading luxury travel retailer, hosted Christophe Claret for the launch of a selection of new timepieces straight out of Baselworld 2013 at the DFS Galleria Macao at The Shoppes at Four Seasons’. DFS’ unique Le Salon concept space provided an ideal backdrop within which to showcase this collection recently. Mr. Christophe Claret, the watchmaker himself, presented 7 watches from the prestigious Baccara and Kantharos collections at the preview, after which 3 pieces will remain in Macao and be exclusively retailed by DFS. At the end of 2013, when DFS hosts its fifth annual Masterpieces of Time exhibition of Haute Horlogerie, the Kantharos will also return from Mr. Claret. DFS will become one of the first retailers of the Kantharos across Asia from early December.
The Kantharos prototype represents another impressive addition to DFS’ portfolio of curated luxury offerings at destinations worldwide. The watch, monopusher chronograph, strikes on a cathedral gong with a constant force mechanism for improved accuracy and features a constant-force escapement, illustrating Christophe Claret’s unique blend of expertise in Haute Horlogerie and high-tech precision. Arriving at DFS only weeks after the conclusion of Baselworld 2013, the largest horological gathering in the world, the unveiling of Kantharos exemplifies DFS’ continued commitment to curating exclusive collections of luxury brands and products, while optimizing its customers’ convenience. The preview hosted at DFS was the final stop the brand selected for its recent tour through Asia.
