SEPTEMBER 17, 2013 - DFS Group (DFS), the world’s leading luxury travel retailer, has recently opened luxury childrenswear label, Marie-Chantal, at its downtown Galleria in Guam. Marie-Chantal was founded and designed by H.R.H. The Crown Princess of Greece, Princess of Denmark Marie-Chantal, who is also the Founder and Creative Director for the brand. Shortly after the opening, Marie-Chantal also unveiled its Fall/Winter 2013 collection, available in the Guam boutique and throughout the brand’s network of stores worldwide, as well as online.

“We are delighted to introduce Marie-Chantal to Guam,” said Mr. Harold Brooks, President of Global Merchandising, DFS Group. “We have seen a marked increase in the demand for luxury childrenswear among our customers worldwide, and are confident that the Marie-Chantal product line will more than satisfy the needs of the discerning parents who shop with DFS. With this opening, we are excited to further enrich the luxury retail experience for the world travellers of Guam.”

A new boutique offering elegant and timeless childrenswear

The new boutique will join the brand’s network of stores, including two in London, one in Hawaii and boutiques across 18 different countries. Reflecting the Marie-Chantal brand identity, the 250 square feet space in the Guam Galleria showcases an extensive range of clothing and accessories for boys and girls, as well as infants, including beautifully boxed gift sets. With exquisite prints and luxurious knits designed in London and crafted from the finest fabrics, Marie-Chantal’s beautiful range continues to delight both parents and children alike.

Limited-edition product benefits children’s charity

The boutique will also carry a newly-launched limited edition drawstring canvas bag featuring an exclusive design by Marie-Chantal’s daughter, H.R.H. Princess Maria-Olympia of Greece. Marie-Chantal will donate all net proceeds from sales of the bag to help raise funds via the One Japan taskforce by DFS for the construction of a new nursery school in the tsunami-devastated town of Minami Sanriku in Japan. The bag will be exclusively available at the Guam store, as well as in Marie-Chantal’s Hawaii boutique, and online.

Marie-Chantal reveals Fall/Winter 2013 line

Inspired by tales from the English countryside, Marie-Chantal’s Fall/Winter 2013 line includes exclusive designs for newborns and young children. For girls, highlights of the collection are a charming robin print pintuck dress, a romantic navy Russia coat, and festive apparel perfect for the holiday season. Perfectly tailored wool suits for boys add a touch of class to any occasion, while babies benefit from intarsia cashmere sweaters, sweet smock dresses, and soft onesies featuring Marie-Chantal’s iconic Angel Wing design.

“We are delighted to be debuting the Marie-Chantal brand with DFS in Guam and further the Fall/Winter 2013 collection. This is our second boutique with DFS and we welcome the collaboration in presenting the Marie-Chantal product line to world travellers,” said Marie-Chantal.

Always committed to elevating the experience of luxury travel retail for travellers worldwide, DFS today continues to enhance its offering in Guam, where, in 1995, it opened its first downtown Galleria worldwide.
