The pleasures and benefits of golf are as vast as the views down a fairway: being outside breathing in the fresh air, focusing on your swing and letting everything else drift away, the social side of the game that drives friendships and closes deals are some of many reasons the sport is irresistible. Add in a setting as gorgeous as Guam with its world-class courses and the game is elevated to a transformative level of luxury.

Guam boasts golf courses renowned for their magnificent scenery, lush tropical vegetation, dramatic cliff-top locations, and spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean. You’ll also find manicured fairways and greens that are on par with the finest clubs in the world.

Here is our lineup of Guam’s top courses. The only question is where to tee off first.

Country Club of the Pacific : Designed by renowned Japanese architect Kisho Kurokawa, this 18-hole, par-72 course is located along the southern coastline offering panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean. The club’s many coconut trees mark the course’s origin as a coconut plantation.

Guam International Country Club This course was partially designed by Hall of Fame golfer Ayako Okamoto. It is a championship course with a USGA course rating of 74.0. Each hole has five different tee positions, enabling all levels of golfers to play.

Leo Palace Resort Country ClubPassionate golfers will be inspired by this club’s challenging courses designed by golf legends Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus. The four nine-hole courses are both difficult and dramatically scenic as they weave through Guam’s rugged inland, dense jungle, and wetlands.

Onward Mangilao Golf ClubCalled Guam’s “Jewel of the Pacific,” this spectacularly beautiful club is located on the central east coast with its out-course resting on the upper level of a two-tier coastal plateau. The in-course flows along the lower level of the plateau beside, and sometimes over, the Pacific Ocean.

Onward Talofofo Golf ClubLocated on the southern part of the island this course was designed by America’s greatest professional golfers and top world players Sam Snead, Ben Hogan and Gene Sarazen. Its signature sixth hole is a replica of Talofofo Falls, and is deemed a “photo-op” hole.

Starts Guam Golf ResortThis 27-hole, USGA-recognized tournament course is highlighted by coconut palm trees, ponds, and bunkers, making it not only challenging, but a visual delight as well. Each of the three nine-hole courses has its own personality. Rolling greens of soft Bermuda grass put putting skills to the test.
