1. Shop and get your Tax Free form in-store

Online: Pre-order on DFS.com Venice and fill your tax refund form online upon checkout. When you collect your order in-store, we will print the tax refund slip for you to sign. Any additional shopping done in-store will be consolidated with your online purchases and your tax refund form upon paying.

In-Store: Shop in-store and request your Tax Free form at the cashier. Simply present your passport and we will issue your tax refund slip immediately. 

If payment has been settled by credit card, you can benefit from an instant tax refund within two working days. For cash back and other refund options, please see section "Other refund options and locations".

2. Validate your Tax Free form at Customs

When leaving the European Union, your tax refund slip must be validated by Customs at the airport, train station or border point within:           

• 3 months from the purchase date

• 21 days from the day of purchase if you received a fast credit card refund in-store or a cash refund at a designated point in the city.

Before checking in your luggage, you should present your tax refund form with your purchases, passport and travel documents for inspection by Customs.

3. Return your tax free form & track your refund

Once your Tax Free form export has been export-validated, please return it to Planet within 21 days or 3 months depending on the chosen refund option (use the prepaid envelope if available).

In order to be eligible for a refund:

• You must reside outside the European Union and be over 18 years of age

• You must present a valid passport and original till receipts 

• You must complete the tax refund form on the day of purchase without fail 

• You must spend over €154.95 in the same store on the same day 

• You must be staying in Europe for less than 3 months 

• You must exit the European Union within 3 months from the purchase date

Present your Tax Free form, your passport and valid Visa, MasterCard, Amex or Diners credit card (debit or electronic cards are not accepted) at a city refund point in Italy to enjoy a cash refund. Find a refund point.

Then, validate your Tax Free form and return it to Planet within 21 days or 3 months depending on the chosen refund option (please use the prepaid envelope if available).
