Agoston Haraszthy, the self proclaimed "Count of Buena Vista", was one of California's first sheriffs. He served two years in San Diego before moving north to found Buena Vista Winery in 1857. It is his legacy that inspired this wine and the work of sheriffs everywhere that we honor with its release.

Founded in 1857, Buena Vista is California's first premium winery, with a colorful and proud history. Today, the legend is being re-born under the vision of Jean-Charles Boisset. The original winery, located outside the town of Sonoma, is a California Historic Landmark. Buena Vista is acclaimed for its unrivaled heritage, authentic roots, colorful history, and renowned wines.

Tasting Notes: The Sheriff of Buena Vista Red Wine is a dark inky red color in the glass. Fragrant aromas of blackberry, blueberry and currants with notes of violets. This is a medium-bodied wine with elegant texture and polished tannins. Dark fruit flavors continue through to the palate and are layered with brambly herbs and a hint of dark chocolate. The finish is delicious and linger.
